BMRE steel melonized .500" shaft diameter distributor gear made of 1144 steel material that has been through a salt bath ferritic nitrocarburizing process. This gear is primarily used for hydraulic roller camshafts and mechanical roller camshafts… this is a superior gear to using the mostly imported bronze distributor gears available today.
Note; This gear is to be used with MSD .500” diameter distributor shafts that come in all MSD Oldsmobile distributors. Will not work with stock OEM diameter distributor shafts that measure .491” which most HEI distributors have.
